Message to a factory ECU after you connect the flashing jumpers. Your loading a .bin file on to the ECU. I'd imagine it's a lot like writing a boot sector of a PC. But I'm a mech, not a sparkie.

In the Z32, you need either Nistune or a ROM-burner to write to the EPROM. So worst case you would just rewrite the EPROM, and not brick the ECU.
